About Us

I first started trading in 1975 as Magus Antiques of Church Street, Marylebone. By 1987 I had relocated to Westbourne Grove and whilst at this address I met and joined forces with three other dealers with whom I traded collectively as 'The Coach House'. We became joint members of the BADA. Our leases came to an end in December of 1999 and soon after this I opened 'Walpoles of Greenwich' where I continued to trade until the end of 2005.

In May 2007 I accepted an invitation to be part of the first collective of BADA dealers at The Edenbridge Galleries in Kent. I also trade every Saturday, with my son Louis, from The Van Arcade on Portobello Road, and exhibit annually at the Olympia International Art and Antiques Fair, running next year from the 5th -15th June.

My principle stock comprises campaign and colonial furniture and maritime and folk art alongside an established core of furniture and works of art typical of the English Country House.

Any of our stock can be made available for hire to film companies etc and advice can be given if required.
